|Originating from the Namji tribe in Cameroon, not only are these dolls striking to look at they also have a interesting history. Given to encourage fertility, these dolls are made for young girls to play with, strapping them to their backs and carrying them around to mirror the responsibility of their mothers.
The Namji dolls are adorned with Cowrie shells and a variety of colourful beads and stand on a wood base. Each doll is crafted individually making them unique and a one of a kind piece.
All wood items are fumigated and fumigation certificates are provided for export.
